Embarking on a Jhourney online retreat is a powerful way to deepen your meditation practice from the comfort of your chosen environment, whether it’s from your living room or a rented cabin in the woods. Many participants ask about the daily routine during our online retreats. This article outlines a typical day on a Jhourney online meditation retreat, providing a clear picture of what to expect.
Our retreat schedule is optimized for participants in the Americas, but with some adjustments, it can also accommodate those in Europe and Africa.
Participants in Asian and other time zones may find the schedule challenging due to significant time differences to align with US time zones. We don't recommend joining from these regions as it could impact your retreat experience, however, if you're still interested, please email us to discuss. It's worth noting that while this schedule represents a typical day, some variations may occur. We may adjust timings or incorporate new elements as we’re always running experimental iterations to make the retreats even better.

Let's examine what a typical day looks like on a Jhourney online retreat. Our in-person retreats may follow a slightly different schedule to take advantage of the shared physical space.
Daily Schedule Across Time Zones
Below is an example of a typical day in our online retreats. It also serves as a guide for structuring your day around the planned sessions. Please note that the first and last days will have different schedules, and our work-compatible retreats vary between weekdays and weekends.
While the group sessions are based on US Pacific Time, we do offer additional Europe-specific timing, such as watch parties of recordings of group sessions, as well as peer group sessions for European time zones.
Our sample schedule includes 3-4 hours of group sessions and 6-8 hours of personal practice daily. We recommend for your personal practice scheduling 2-3 uninterrupted meditation blocks of 3-4 hours each (rather than shorter ones) and recommend at least 6 hours of solo practice per day.
We also recommend creating your own personal schedule before retreat that reflects your own preferences (perhaps you prefer mornings or evenings) as well as adding time for any required chores you may have.
