Dating back to the 1800s, this grand stately home combines historic charm with modern comfort, featuring a swimming pool, spa facilities, and elegant lounges with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking private parkland. This tranquil setting provides the perfect environment for the transformative practice of jhana meditation, allowing you to fully disconnect from daily life and settle into deep practice.

Every room is designed for rest and reflection with modern conveniences.

FAQs

Arrival

Check-in begins at 5:00 PM on Monday, October 26th. Please do not arrive earlier, as the venue does not have capacity to accommodate earlier arrivals. The opening session will begin shortly after.

Daily structure

The retreat day runs 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Sessions include group instruction, guided meditation, 1-on-1 facilitation, and dedicated solo practice time.

Departure

Monday, November 2. All group activities finish by mid-morning. Check out by 10:00 AM.

Before you book

You must be at least 18 years old to attend

Participation requires completing a mental health screening and signing required agreements

Do not book flights or make travel arrangements until your screening is complete and your spot is confirmed. Screenings begin no later than February 15

This is a full-week retreat — only sign up if you can attend the entire program from October 26 through November 2

The Vedanta operates a no-shoes policy inside the house. Please bring slippers or indoor footwear.

All food at The Vedanta is vegetarian and vegan. No food inside rooms is allowed.

Late October and early November in Lincolnshire marks the transition into autumn, with crisp air and the occasional rainfall typical of English weather. Average highs during this time hover around 11°C to 14°C (52°F to 57°F), with nights cooling to around 4°C to 8°C (39°F to 46°F). All rooms and common spaces feature central heating.

The Vedanta is located in the village of Branston, just outside Lincoln in Lincolnshire. It's approximately a 2-hour drive from London and Birmingham.
